DESCRIPTION
This project sought to create a versatile digital wallet application, inspired by the simplicity of Apple Wallet, but with a key differentiator - cross-platform compatibility.
Fundamentally, the goal was to design a seamless and secure user experience that transcends device boundaries, catering to everyone.
CHALLENGE
The challenge lies in creating an interface that matches the elegance of platforms like Apple Wallet while ensuring a consistent user experience across diverse devices.
This case delves into the iterative design process undertaken to overcome these challenges and deliver a sophisticated cross-platform digital wallet solution meeting the diverse needs of modern users.
My first step in tackling this project was conducting user research for various mobile wallet apps to better understand how CrossPay can enhance users’ needs and problems by scrutinizing current smart wallet apps.
NOTABLE PAIN POINTS
Limited customization
The inability to personalize certain aspects of cards or passes could be a point of dissatisfaction.
Poor cross-platform compatibility
Inherently designed for iOS/Android devices, limited support to transfer data between devices.
Limited support for non-payment cards
Heavily focused on payment cards and tickets; limited support for users looking for expanded functionality, such as loyalty cards or IDs.

Comprehensive card support
Goes beyond traditional payment cards, diversifying functionalities, including loyalty cards, IDs; enriches the user's digital wallet experience.
CrossPurse
This new design feature, inspired by the infinitely growing usage of mobile banking, enables users to more efficiently and easily access their e-wallet.
Within the feature, users can more conveniently make transfers between different types of platforms, whilst also customizing their e-wallet to a larger variation of cards.
